FAQ's Your Clients Will Ask You About False Eyelashes and How to Answer Them

I’m sure you’ve had your fair share of questions when applying false eyelashes on clients, and it’s handy to have a general idea of what clients will ask about AND a prepared response. Not only does this alleviate their concerns, but it makes you sound like you know your stuff! (You do, of course, but it’s good for the client to know that, too. *wink, wink*)

Will they fall off?

Clients worry about this all the time. And that’s natural. Perhaps they have a vivid memory of a friend who wore dangling falsies for half a day without realizing, and this scarred them for life. The most helpful thing to say is to suggest that with the right product, tools and a professional application they will have nothing to worry about, emphasizing that you’ve never had a problem with it.

What are these made of?

If you’re using Lash Republic false eyelashes, the answer is 100% sterilized human hair. Human hair is closest to the real thing, so it provides the most natural look possible while also being soft and feather light.

How do I take false eyelashes off?

Use a cotton swab dipped in eye makeup remover and run that along the band of the false eyelashes. This will help to loosen the adhesive keeping the falsies in place. Once that’s done, place a finger at the centre of the closed eye and use a pushing motion on the eyelash band to slowly remove the falsies. This is better than grasping the tips of the false eyelashes, which could damage the lashes.

Can I reuse them?

With proper care, Lash Republic’s false eyelashes can be used up to 5 to 8 times. Proper care involves the following:

  1. Removing them gently.
  2. Use a cotton swab dipped in makeup remover to clean off any makeup residue.
  3. Tweeze off any dried adhesive.
  4. Store in an eyelash case.

Can I sleep with falsies on?

Like lots of things in life, “can” is different than “should.” It is possible to fall asleep with falsies on. But looking at this from a skincare viewpoint, going to bed with makeup on is a huge no-no. Plus, removing those false eyelashes before hitting the sack will help them last beyond a one-time use.

Can I play sports with these on?

Yes! So long as it isn’t a water sport. Water may loosen the adhesive.

Are these difficult to apply on my own?

Once they get the hang of it, it will feel as natural as any other step in their makeup routine. Point clients to this how-to video tutorial for tips on easy at-home application.
